“Head-to-head is really important,” said CFP chair Boo Corrigan when asked about the decision to slot Texas ahead of Oklahoma,. “But there are so many other factors that play in,” he continued, noting the Sooners’ recent stumble in Lawrence and the Longhorns’ win at Alabama.Kansas joins the Big 12′s football blue bloods, slotting in 21st in Tuesday’s rankings. Oklahoma State, set for Saturday’s fast-approaching 118th rendition of the Bedlam Rivalry, comes in 22nd.
