Wicliff Yves Fleurizard, 26, was arrested Sunday after he was found hiding in the lavatory on a Delta flight from Salt Lake City to Austin.

SALT LAKE CITY — A Texas man was removed from a plane and arrested in Salt Lake City last weekend after authorities said he boarded a flight without a ticket. It happened Sunday around 10:30 a.m. local time.

According to court documents, Fleurizard told police he was in Utah on a ski trip and had a Southwest Airlines Buddy Pass to get home to Austin. He said he used that boarding pass to get through security. "The passenger had a boarding pass. We don’t confirm flight details of individual travelers," a TSA spokesperson said.Surveillance cameras caught him taking photos of other people's boarding passes and it appears as if he used one of the pictures to get on the plane. Authorities think he used one of the photos to board the plane and then he tried to hide in a bathroom. He was found by flight attendants while the plane was taxiing.
