Texans linebacker Garret Wallow plays four square with Jeremiah Chandler, 9, at the Boys and Girls Club – Harvard. As Texans players Garret Wallow, Kurt Hinish, a few Texans cheerleaders and a number of other Texans officials waited in a room with boxes of pizza Thursday evening, the children at the Harvard Boys and Girls Club waited with anticipation. When the players and cheerleaders walked out, the children screamed to the top of their lungs, and bounced up and down.

For National Random Acts of Kindness Week, the Houston Texans made a number of stops at different places throughout the city to give back. In the morning, they went to Houston Fire Department Station 21 with cases of coffee and breakfast from Whataburger. Then they visited a local Kroger and surprised customers with gift cards to help pay for their groceries. They donated funds to the Houston SPCA to cover adoption fees for animals. They handed out Chevron gift cards to customers at the gas station. They visited the Houston Texans team store, and paid for customers’ gear.

They got autographs, played four square, gossiped with the players, and played ping pong, while enjoying pepperoni and cheese pizza.
