The driver of another vehicle dealt more damage to the Cybertruck than we've seen since regulatory testing

A real-world crash shows off how the Tesla Cybertruck handles a heavy impact to its side. Both doors caved, airbags deployed, and the state of the battery is unknown. Reports say that the only occupant at the time, the driver, suffered minor injuries. When a vehicle marketed as incredibly tough gets into its first major wreck it's worthy of coverage and that's what we have here. The Tesla Cybertruck incorporates what the brand calls an exoskeleton approach with a unique steel.

Pictures from the scene show that the Tesla was towed away. An impact strong enough to do the damage seen here could have also harmed the battery and motors. Notably, the Cybertruck does have a 5cm buffer zone on each side of the pack that might have saved it in this case. The first to post about this incident is Dale Gribble on Facebook. There he says that the owner's arm took some damage but that they're generally ok otherwise.
