Shouts, chants and questions broke out at the beginning of the third Texas Education Agency community information meeting about the takeover of the Houston Independent School District.
Protesters react after Alejandro Delgado, TEA Deputy Commissioner, remarked that HISD was a B-grade not an A-grade school system during the third community meeting hosted by TEA, to talk about the HISD Board of Managers process at Delmar Stadium on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in Houston.
People booed and held up signs as soon as deputy commissioner Alejandro Delgado stepped up to the podium at 6:30 p.m. at Delmar Stadium in northwest Houston.
