A 19-year-old was stabbed in a Nottingham street before running into a local shop

. Nottinghamshire Police said officers are investigating after the teenager was left with a 'significant injury' after being found with a stab wound.

Officers were flagged down by members of the public after the victim ran into a convenience store in Hartley Road, Radford, moments after he was stabbed in the shoulder. The victim, aged 19, was attacked at around 9.45pm on Tuesday May 9. He was taken to hospital and treated for a single wound that thankfully was not life-altering or life-threatening.Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty assault that left a man in hospital with a significant injury. We are working to understand the circumstances that led up to this attack and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed an altercation.

“We treat any form of knife crime with the utmost seriousness and are working tirelessly to find the person responsible for this attack. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 896 of 9 May 2023.”
