A 15-year-old boy was inside a recording studio in North Philadelphia when he was shot in the head on Friday afternoon, police said.
A teenager was taken to the hospital after being shot in the head on Friday afternoon, according to a spokesperson with the Philadelphia Police Department.
Officers were called to the 2600 block of Germantown Avenue in North Philadelphia just before 5 p.m. for reports of a person with a gun, police said.During the incident, a 15-year-old boy was shot on the left side of his head while inside a recording studio on the third floor of a building, according to officials.Police told NBC10 that there were 10 other teenagers in the studio at the time of the shooting. All of them ran, leaving the 15-year-old.
Two adults who work at the studio were on the second floor of the building at the time and they stayed until police officers arrived. A man who identified himself as the audio engineer of the recording studio told NBC10 that everything seemed to be fine until he heard the single gunshot.Police are currently searching for all of the teens who were in the studio at the time of the shooting as well as the shooter.No weapons were recovered and no one has been arrested yet, police said. Investigators found one spent shell casing.
