The shooting occurred Sunday afternoon outside the Minneapolis Police Department's Fourth Precinct building, a department spokesperson said.

Outside the Fourth Precinct building, MPD officers found a male teenager with apparent life-threatening injuries, according to the department. Officers believe the boy was walking on the 2000 block of Plymouth Avenue when a person in a vehicle driving by fired several shots, striking the teenager once.
