The teenager, who can't be named for legal reasons, murdered 55-year-old Christopher Molloy in a gang attack
A 15-year-old boy stormed out of a courtroom dock after he was found guilty of beating a man to death outside a Burger King.
However, a jury found the teen guilty of the murder of security guard Christopher Molloy after three and a half hours of deliberations. Following his conviction, the defendant stomped out the dock and slammed a door as his family left the court's public gallery. A second confrontation took place and the younger Byrne brother was seen 'landing an extremely forceful punch' on CCTV which knocked Mr Molloy to the ground. A court heard that he fell backwards and 'cracked his head on the pavement' which left him unconscious.
A taxi driver who discovered the unconscious man lying on the road flagged down a patrolling police car and another member of the public alerted a passing ambulance. Emergency services said that it was 'immediately obvious that Mr Molloy was extremely unwell'.
