Former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Teddi Mellencamp reveals she has multiple brain tumors and is undergoing surgery to remove them.
Teddi Mellencamp , the former star of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' disclosed on Wednesday that doctors had identified multiple tumors in her brain. Mellencamp took to Instagram to share that she had been grappling with 'severe and debilitating headaches' for several weeks preceding her announcement. The intensity of these headaches led to her hospitalization on Tuesday.
'After undergoing a CT scan and an MRI, doctors discovered multiple tumors in my brain, which they estimate have been growing for at least six months,' Mellencamp wrote in her post. She further explained that she was scheduled to undergo surgery on Wednesday to remove two of the tumors, with the remaining tumors planned to be treated through radiation therapy in the future. Despite the daunting diagnosis, Mellencamp appeared to be maintaining a positive outlook ahead of her procedure. She shared videos on her Instagram Stories of her pre-operation haircut, humorously remarking, 'I didn't have this look on my bucket list' as someone shaved her head. In another video, Mellencamp was surrounded by friends and family moments before her surgery. Kyle Richards, a fellow cast member on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' was among those offering their support at her bedside. This recent health challenge follows Mellencamp's 2022 revelation of being diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma. Since then, she has undergone continuous treatment to remove the skin cancer, having her 16th melanoma spot removed in September, according to People. Mellencamp starred in 'The Real Housewives' for three seasons before leaving the show. She currently co-hosts a podcast with Tamra Judge, a star on the 'Orange County' edition of the reality series, titled 'Two Ts in a Pod.' She is the daughter of renowned singer John Mellencamp, celebrated for his 1980s hits like 'Hurts So Good' and 'Small Town.
