We chat with songstress and SpinningGold star TAYLAPARX about portraying the iconic Donna Summer, speaking with her daughter, and working with Neil Bogart's family to tell the story of Casablanca Records:
The almost impossible-to-believe story of Spinning Gold follows Neil Bogart through his tumultuous personal and professional life as he rises to prominence in the music industry. Bogart is responsible for creating Casablanca Records, one of the most successful independent record labels. During his career, he worked with music superstars including Donna Summer, Bill Withers, Gladys Knight, and KISS.
Tayla Parx spoke with Screen Rant about portraying the legendary Donna Summer in Spinning Gold. She shares how working with Neil Bogart's family and speaking with Summer's daughter helped her prepare for the role. Parx also explains how playing Summer and learning her story inspired her.
