McDonald’s is now extending its popular $5 value meal through August after fast food wars waged a battle to win back customers all summer long. NBC’s Christine Romans reports for TODAY on how popular fast casual dining restaurants are serving up savings.
Taco Bell is reviving an oldie but a goodie for a limited time thanks to public pressure. On Oct. 10, the Double Decker Taco returns nationwide to satiate two-layered appetites. But, in typical Taco Bell fashion, the menu item will be here today, gone tomorrow — Oct. 30, to be exact.
Taco Bell most recently brought back the Double Decker Taco in December 2023 for a limited time. After the item lost an election to the Enchirito in 2022, people on social media put the pressure on Taco Bell to revive the item anyway. This year, the Double Decker Taco costs $2, which is 99 cents cheaper than it was last year. The Double Decker Taco Supreme is now $2.69, which is $1 less than its 2023 price.
