A woman is in the hospital Sunday evening after two men threw an unknown substance on her legs at a Summit County park.
According to Summit County Metro Parks, a woman was walking on Chippewa Trail at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton when the two suspects approached her. The suspects then threw the unknown substance onto her legs and caused severe burns after combusting, according to Summit Metro Parks. Summit Metro Park Rangers are working with Norton Police to find the male suspects. They say the suspects also have curly hair.We are keeping the victim in our thoughts as she heals from this traumatic incident. This type of attack is incredibly uncommon within Summit Metro Parks. Park visitors are encouraged to remain aware of surroundings and follow the guidance of “see something, say something” when in the parks.
