The Round Rock festival ended in gunfire, as an altercation broke out between what police have called 'two groups.'
The suspects in the shooting remain at large as of late Sunday afternoon. Police have said they're unsure of how many suspects there are in the case. Nearly 17 hours after the shooting broke out, authorities reopened the park to the public, with the festival pieces still standing almost exactly as they were at 11 o'clock the night before.
According to police, the suspect is described as a 5 foot 7 inches tall Black man with a thin build, estimated to be around 19 to 20 years old. He has short dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a white hoodie. Police have said he could be armed and dangerous. Nearly 17 hours after the shooting broke out, authorities reopened the park to the public, with the festival pieces still standing almost exactly as they were at 11 p.m. the night before. Some festival officials were still taking down the stage as the sun went down on Sunday, more than 24 hours after the festival began.
On the level of regulation at the Juneteenth festival, a KEYE reporter asked Chief Banks how much security there was at the Old Settlers Park, including checking for firearms.
