Joseph Cantrell, a Microsoft employee accused of stabbing another Microsoft employee in Redmond, pled not guilty to an attempted murder charge on Thursday.

The judge set his bail at $2,000,000.

The attack, which happened on the corner of 156th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 28th Street, left the victim with at least 12 stab wounds, a skull fracture, and a brain bleed/hemorrhage,The victim and his friends claim they do not know who Cantrell is, leading detectives to conclude the stabbing was unprovoked, according to court documents.
