The high court’s decision, just a month before Election Day, is one of a number of legal fights still playing out across the country that will determine rules around voting this fall.South Carolina has seen a dramatic increase in the number of voters who want to cast their ballots by mail for the general election, mirroring trends nationwide. In Charleston County, the state’s third-most populous, 53,000 mail ballots have been sent out so far, officials said.
“It’s a great day for those who care about the security and integrity of our elections,” he said in a statement.
