American tuner HennesseyPerf has launched a supercharger package for the C8 Corvette, lifting output to 708bhp -
Together with the new supercharger, Hennessey has also fitted a new air induction system with an air-to-water intercooler, plus an ECU tune and an optional cat-back exhaust system also designed to optimise the new components. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the standard 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, and although new performance figures haven’t been disclosed, expect some improvement on the factory 3.2sec 0-62mph time.
Company Founder and CEO, John Hennessey, said: 'The stock C8 Corvette Stingray is an extraordinary sports car, yet Chevrolet left some V8 performance on the table. Our exciting 'H700' supercharger package integrates seamlessly with the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and our exhaust upgrade sounds much more aggressive than stock.'
The upgrade is available for all 2020-2022 C8 models and comes with a 3 year/36,000-mile limited warranty. Prices start at $34,950 for the power upgrade on its own, with the wider package including chassis, cooling and styling upgrades costing $49,950 .
