PAYSON, Utah — Severe wind gusts on Monday knocked out power lines and trees in parts of Utah County. Many are dealing with the consequences, including the Gariety family in Payson.
“The wind got really crazy, crazier than I’ve seen it,” recalled Andrea, Dallin's wife."I heard a massive creaking noise and I looked outside and the tree was on our house.” “The damage has been pretty extensive. It was a 50-foot pine, so it crushed a lot of the roof,” said Dallin. “You can’t see a lot of the damage from the interior, but we do have holes poking through walls and through the ceiling.”
