Montgomery, Alabama

Sunday was rain-free with sunshine and hot afternoon temperatures. A nice break from the showers and storms we had around on Saturday. It certainly felt like the unofficial start of summer, with highs in the low 90s. Showers and storms return to the forecast Monday. However, it may not be a washout for everyone in our area. Storm coverage looks scattered during the day.

Although, some storms may become strong to severe. Damaging wind and large hail are the main hazards. If you find yourself under one of Monday’s storms, heavy rain and frequent lightning should be expected. For the spots that do not see rain, at least for part of the day, sunshine results in high temperatures near 90°. Storms come to an end by late Monday evening.

The rest of the week looks mainly dry, and a bit cooler. A few showers appear possible Wednesday, but most locations remain rain-free. Afternoon temperatures peak in the mid to upper 80s each day. Overnight low temperatures fall into the 60s each night. Chances for rain return to our are next weekend. However, rain coverage looks limited, with only isolated showers or storms by Sunday.
