A driver who was racing another car down a Philadelphia street fatally struck and killed a man in a hit-and-run Tuesday morning.
It all happened shortly after midnight when Philadelphia authorities were on patrol in the area of Castor and Aramingo avenues. That’s when they spotted a blue Dodge Charger and a white Dodge Charger speeding eastbound along Castor and Aramingo avenues. The victim was hit so hard he was knocked out of his sneakers, authorities said, and he died at the scene. His identity has yet to be determined, as well as his age.
“That was very important because that was part of the description we were broadcasting citywide,” Small said to. “Pennsauken got some of that information. They did a great job stopping that vehicle about a 10-minute drive from this particular location.”
