If you are a Stranger Things fan living in the U.S., we have some great news for you because you’ll soon be able to see Stranger Things : The First Shadow without leaving the country, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Stranger Things : The First Shadow, a prequel play canon to the Netflix hit series, will officially make its way to Broadway in the spring of 2025, with previews starting at the Marquis Theatre on March 28, 2025, and an opening night expected in April.
The play takes place in 1959 Hawkins and follows younger versions of the adult characters from the Netflix show, including Joyce , Hopper , and Bob Newby . The West End production features Oscar Lloyd as James Hopper Jr., Isabella Pappas as Joyce Maldonado, and Chris Buckley as Bob Newby, among others. Castings for the Broadway show are yet to be announced.
