So we’re we are now back on our feet and everything’s kind of getting resettled. Schedules are shifting around, but it’s definitely in the works, and we cannot wait.”
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Picks Up On A Massive Cliffhanger As Alex Kurtzman noted at NYCC, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 was supposed to start filming right when the writer's strike happened in May. No writing or production could take place during the strikes, and no filming can happen as long as SAG-AFTRA is still picketing for a fair deal from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers .
Strange New Worlds season 3 has to pick up on a massive cliffhanger. Strange New Worlds season 2 ended with Captain Christopher Pike caught in a no-win scenario as members of the USS Enterprise crew have been kidnapped by the Gorn while Starfleet ordered Pike not to engage the enemy aliens. Making matters worse, Captain Marie Batel may not survive being infected by Gorn eggs gestating inside her.
