Storms clear in D-FW, but temperatures will drop to the 40s tonight

Early morning thunderstorms are quickly pushing to the east of D-FW. There’s a window of opportunity for these storms to be severe with gusty winds and hail . The chance of rain should be over in D-FW by sunrise. Meanwhile, a cold front is pushing cooler air into the area. As the storm clouds clear by mid-morning, the sun will come out. Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 60s.

While sunshine is expected this afternoon, the clouds will return Thursday. In addition, widespread rain will also return to the southeast of D-FW. The rain chance will be low for D-FW Thursday, but start climbing again on Friday. The cooler temperatures should prevent any severe weather. Dry weather is expected Saturday and Sunday for any outdoor Easter plans. Highs will be in the 70s. Warmer weather will be back next week with highs returning to the 80s.Email Address
