State police release new photos in search for clues in road rage killing on N.J. highway

Troopers responded to a single-car crash on Interstate 76 eastbound in Mount Ephraim Jan. 24 shortly after 10:30 p.m. and found Louis E. Ciccanti Jr. fatally shot in his black 2004 Mercedes Benz 500, according to a statement from the New Jersey State Police. His car was found at milepost .4 in Mount Ephraim.

An investigation revealed that Ciccanti and a still unidentified black sedan vehicle were traveling east on Interstate 76 in Philadelphia, near Passyunk Avenue, when both drivers were in a road rage incident, police said.The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with a shooting death investigation on Interstate 76 in Mount Ephraim Borough, Camden County.
