Such a situation, the member of the progressive congressional "Squad" lamented, likely proved distressing to young members of the LGBT community. The post comes as some Democrats are beginning to reevaluate their strategy regarding the transgender community in light of the election. Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., faced backlash last week after suggesting the party’s current approach is not helping it with all voters.
Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., also suggested Sunday that the Democratic Party is ignoring an “identity crisis” facing American men. He accused Democrats of ignoring the fallout of undoing the "patriarchy," what he described as “society's primary organizing paradigm for centuries.”
