SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Spurs took a major hit on Nov. 6 when forward Jeremy Sochan fractured his left thumb during a game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
On Wednesday, November 28, just before the Spurs faced the Los Angeles Lakers at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, acting head coach Mitch Johnson hinted that Sochan’s recovery might be ahead of schedule, though he didn’t specify a return date. After undergoing thumb surgery, experts initially estimated Sochan would miss about 20 games, with a possible return in early January. But instead of the typical recovery period involving a splint or cast, Sochan has been spotted working out without any protective gear, though he still favors his right hand while protecting the left.
