SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Springfield’s Police Division now has new funding to improve their traffic safety initiatives for 2025.
In hopes of reducing some of the road safety concerns within their city, the Springfield Police Division has been awarded nearly $54,000 dollars from the state department of public safety to improve their traffic enforcement initiatives for the new year. Earlier this month, Governor Dewine visited Springfield to install 10 brand new driving simulators around the city, in hopes of further educating those who are getting their license for the first time, including, but not limited to, Springfield's Haitian immigrant population.
And speaking of making our roads safer, in Montgomery County, prosecutor Mat Heck is promoting his annual “ArriveSafe” program for the Christmas holiday.
