The annual week-long festival culminated in its biggest event on Saturday, Oct. 29 along East Washington Street – the Halloween street fair.Thousands of costumed adults and children were greeted with sunshine and 70-degree temperatures. Along the neighborhood's tree-lined streets, the smell of fallen leaves mixed with the sweet and savory scents of food vendors.
According to the festival's website, Irvington's Halloween celebrations date back as early as 1927, held in varying form and frequency throughout the years.
