Jaguars travel to New Orleans on Saturday
South Alabama's Caullin Lacy is listed as the Jaguars' starter at both H-receiver and punt returner. South Alabama on Monday released its depth chart for its 2023 season-opener vs. Tulane.
There were no major surprises on the Week 1 depth chart. Most players who had been running with the first- and second-team offenses and defenses were listed as such Monday.• Freshman Gio Lopez is listed as the third-team quarterback, behind starter Carter Bradley and veteran backup Desmond Trotter. Lopez beat out redshirt freshman Bishop Davenport, a Utah State transfer, for the third-team spot.
• Jaden Voisin and Jalen Jordan are listed as co-starters at Rover safety. Jordan started at free safety last season in place of Keith Gallmon, who returned to reclaim his starting job after an injury kept him out all of last season. • Departed punter Jack Brooks was also the Jaguars’ primary holder on field goals and extra points. Trotter and Martin are listed as co-starters at holder for Week 1.
