The spouse of Sonoma County Sheriff Eddie Engram was arrested Saturday for allegedly crashing her car into a Santa Rosa home while under the influence of alcohol, announced Engram on his Facebook page.
Natasha Whittinghill, 47, allegedly drove her Tesla into the front of a home in the 5200 block of Beaumont Way at 12:51 a.m., according to Santa Rosa police. Before crashing into the home, the gray Tesla also hit a fence and a tree. A resident of the home, a woman in her 50s, suffered minor cuts from shards of glass from the crash, said police. She was later transported to a local hospital.
Officers conducted a DUI investigation on the scene and determined that Whittinghill was driving under the influence, said police. She was arrested on felony DUI charges and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
