A Pasadena and Alief Elsik player keep close contact during their state playoff match last season. Both programs will be competing in the three-day Pearland/Pasadena Invitational this week.High school soccer fans need just one reason to attend this week's annual Pearland/Pasadena ISD Invitational.
But an 11th match will unfold at the city's 60-year-old stadium Saturday afternoon at 4 when the champion of the Orange Group meets the champion of the Red Division. South Houston will be in the Red Group along with Heights, Brazoswood and annual powerhouse Alief Elsik. All still remember how the Rams were surprised by Pasadena last season in a state playoff upset.
Thursday's schedule will begin with Dobie opposing Fort Bend Bush in a Red Group match, followed at noon by Pasadena meeting Dulles, Memorial colliding against Hightower at 2 and South Houston greeting Brazoswood at 4.
