Chuck Blount believes you can smoke just about anything, but if you're not smoking hard-boiled eggs, you're missing out.
Aside from a few fruits and certain desserts, I believe you can smoke just about anything. All meats are fair game and can produce fantastic results, and ingredients like salt, pepper, cheese and mixed nuts, of all things, can provide a finished product that makes the effort worth it.
There are many ways to do it, but this is my preferred option. Start by hard-boiling the eggs inside the shells to firm them up. Fill a large pot with enough cold water to cover the eggs and set you stove to medium-high heat until the water reaches a boil. Allow the eggs to boil for about five minutes, cover the pot, turn off the heat source and allow the eggs to continue to cook in the hot water for about 30 more minutes.During this window, fire up the smoker.
