Philadelphia police are on the hunt for a group of smash-and-grab suspects who pepper-sprayed jewelry store employees before making off with products.
The robbery occurred Saturday at about 7 p.m. at Javier the Jeweler in the Philadelphia Mills Mall, according to a report.
Customers had packed the store when the suspects entered and used pepper spray to subdue the employees, a witness purportedly told police.The exact worth of the jewelry stolen has yet to be confirmed, and multiple people were treated for injuries related to pepper spray, the report noted.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINERJavier the Jeweler will remain closed until Tuesday.
