Nature research paper: Skilful nowcasting of extreme precipitation with NowcastNet
We perform a meteorologist evaluation as a cognitive assessment task and a quantitative evaluation using operational verification measures.To construct the test subsets representative of extreme-precipitation events for expert meteorologist evaluation, we first sample a new test set that contains the crops with spatial size of 512 × 512 using the same strategy detailed in the previous section.
