Running back Saquon Barkley was among the six Eagles named to take part in the Pro Bowl games next month in Orlando, Fla.
Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata was named as a first alternate to the NFC Pro Bowl roster despite having the best season of his career., provided they aren’t playing in the Super Bowl, will be well represented at the Pro Bowl Games down in Orlando, Fla. next month.
The three tackles named to the NFC team were the Eagles’ Lane Johnson, Detroit’s Penei Sewell and Tampa Bay’s Tristin Wirfs. Johnson and Sewell were named as the starters. The other Eagles to secure spots were running back Saquon Barkley , left guard Landon Dickerson, inside linebacker Zack Baun and defensive tackle Jalen Carter.
Baun, in his first season with the Eagles and as a full-time inside linebacker, has had a breakout season. He is fourth in the league with 151 tackles and also has 3 1/2 sacks. He had been used more as an outside pass rusher during his four seasons with the Saints before joining the Eagles as a free agent this season.
