The two sisters from the village of Aslana in Madhya Pradesh state were set to tie the knot on the same day with their grooms, Bhola and Ganesh from another village.It’s not clear if the brides, Nikita and Karishma, had met the men earlier. When a power cut shrouded the girls’ home in darkness, amid the confusion, fumbling and suffocating heat, the priest went ahead and performed the nuptials but accidentally exchanged the couples.
