About 10,500 sippy cups made for toddlers are being recalled because the stainless steel cups might contain exposed lead, which might lead to lead poisoning, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The affected products had tracking codes of 29218V06985, 35719V06985 and 33020V06985 and were sold between Jan. 2020 and Sept. 2022., the reason for the recall is that the bottom base of the cups can break off, exposing a solder dot that contains lead. The exposed solder dot can cause lead poisoning in children if ingested.

The CPSC said it received seven reports of the exposed solder dot after the bottom base of the cups had detached, but no injuries or illnesses have been reported at this time. Customers should contact Green Sprouts for a refund or store credit if the company has not already reached out to them about a possible remedy.

The company can be reached by phone at 800-876-1574 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, by email at
