According to Twitter user @NOTonlywater, who posted photos and videos of the incident, the Model Y was brand new, and on just its fifth drive with its new owner. The pearlescent wrap only serves to further suggest that the crossover was adored by its possessor.. Residents in the area claim that, although the sinkhole did not appear until around 9:30 a.m., they heard a loud noise at around 5:00 a.m. Whether the two events are related is unclear.
Zhubei was beset by sinkholes last year, with three forming in the same area as this one occurred today. At the time, the local government asked construction crews to stop work in order to assess the cause of the phenomena and perform repair work.
