A Virginia Democratic candidate who was outed for recording sex acts with her husband for money on a livestreaming website has received endorsements from various liberal politicians and influential advocacy groups, records show.
Susanna Gibson, who is running to be a delegate in Virginia's 57th District, is coming under fire from conservatives for appearing alongside her husband, John David Gibson, in sexually explicit videos through the pornographic platform Chaturbate. Top Democrats and left-wing activist hubs have not been vocal about pulling any support yet for Gibson, a nurse practitioner who can be seen in the footage asking viewers for"tips" that were purportedly"for a good cause.
One of the most high-profile endorsements Gibson earned has been from Rep. Abigail Spanberger , whose office did not return a request for comment. Spanberger posted on social media on Friday,"These Virginians truly care about getting things done for their communities, protecting our rights, and growing our economy," along with an image of the congresswoman with Gibson and other state Democrats.

Tim Kaine on Saturday, has also earned endorsements from ex-Gov. Ralph Northam , Democratic Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney, Virginia state Sen. Louise Lucas, and Virginia state Del. Candi King.
"I wonder if Tim Kaine will continue to campaign with that kind of person, or if he, now that he knows information about her, he's going to distance himself?" Scott Parkinson, a Republican running for U.S. Senate in Virginia against Kaine, told the Washington Examiner. "The attacks against Susanna are not only illegal — they are yet another display of how far-removed the dusty, antiquated, stodgy Republican Party is from young voters," he said."Consequentially, Republicans continue to lose election after election because of Gen Z’s efforts."
Giffords, the pro-gun control advocacy group, also endorsed Gibson. So has the Virginia League of Conservation Voters, Virginia Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia, the feminist group Her Bold Move, the Virginia National Organization for Women, and Emily's List, a liberal pro-abortion PAC, records show.
