The outies are innies once more in the first trailer for the much-anticipated second season of 'Severance,' which Apple TV+ premiered Saturday.
, Mark Scout leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself,” Apple TV+ said in a synopsis.
“In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.” While the acclaimed Season One found the Lumon foursome getting a taste of their severed lives and a desire to end the experiment, the second season finds them lured back in the office to investigate another mystery: Why Mark Scout’s long-presumed dead wife is a full-time, non-severed employee at Lumon., will return to Apple TV+ after a too-long three-year wait on January 17, 2025, with executive producer Ben Stiller serving as director on five of the second season’s 10 episodes.
