A Colorado volleyball team took a big swing to get Selena Gomez to come to their game and surprisingly, it worked. The singer and Only Murders in the Building actor shared a series of photos on Saturday, August 31, showing her visiting a local Telluride high school's volleyball team to sing the national anthem. Gomez was in the Colorado town promoting her forthcoming film Emilia Pérez at the Telluride Film Festival when she — or someone on her team — saw a sign that had her name on it.
In the photos, Gomez is shown walking into the gym with a group of volleyball players who are all stunned and laughing as she says, “I saw the sign!” Gomez did not share actual footage of her singing the national anthem, so it's unclear if she did, but the actor did pose for photos with the team and signed autographs. Several comments under the Instagram post called Gomez “the people's princess.
