OMG Selena Gomez and David Henrie Have Been Talking About Rebooting “Wizards of Waverly Place”
The idea for the reboot involves separating the Russo family at the beginning of the hypothetical new series.
"We want to start the show like a few years later," David said."Start them off at the worst place ever so that way throughout the series you give them a nice, beautiful arch of reuniting. Start them off divided." They even know where each character will be in the beginning."Alex is a fashionista, off killing it in some other part of the realm," he said."Justin's, like, the principal [of WizTech] who has a family now…Max has the sub shop, but it's run down." Then, as the show goes on the plan is to bring everyone back together.
