2022-2023 school year: 1,124 students in grades 3-8 took for English language arts and math tests; 369 students took science tests, which are only required in fifth and eighth grades. Private schools can administer Ohio’s State Tests or over three dozen alternative assessments.At Akron City School District and all public schools, all students are required to test. District enrollment was 20,539 in 2022-2023 for all grades.
