“Part of what moved it forward is that we’re in a moment of transition in general, but really a lot of it was looking back at our team's legacy and roots and feeling connected to our city and Seattle again,” said Haines. “I think when the league started, it was scrappy and gritty, and we didn't have the type of coverage, investment and growth that we see today,” said Haines. “So much of that start is this crest, and it really embodied the spirit of this team. When you see the brand out there, and I felt when we launched, it represents the confidence, strength, and different personalities of our players over the years.
