Seattle police are searching for two shooting suspects after a man was shot twice in White Center on Sunday afternoon.The victim was reportedly in serious condition with non-life-threatening injuries as of Sunday.
Police confirmed a 23-year-old was shot in the leg and lower back and treated by Seattle Fire crews before he was taken to Harborview Medical Center.One witness, who wanted to remain anonymous for safety reasons, said she pulled into the Walgreens parking lot when she heard a series of gunshots. "Two little short boys had their hoods over their head and both of them had a handgun and there were at least 20 shots," she explained. "They were shooting across Roxbury into this parking lot. I tried to get a video of those boys but they ran between those two buildings."
She was completely shaken after she said she stayed with the shooting victim until the ambulance arrived, and even helping to stop the bleeding. "He kept saying, 'Am I going to be paralyzed? Am I going to be alive?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah.’ I kept telling him, ‘You’re a badass. You’re good.’ I just told him be still, don’t move and keep talking.'"From the victim's clothes left on scene, KOMO crews saw police found cash and what appeared to be a small bag of pills.It's the same area where a man was shot and killed on a King County bus in Oct. 2023 and Zambrano says his family's safety is top of mind.
