The 52-year-old was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition."There's an apartment, everyone says inside something is serious going on outside. What looks like a taxi driver bleeding profusely from the mouth," said Lizzie, a neighbor.
"We looked outside the window and there were a bunch of police officers pulling him out and putting him on a stretcher taking him away. We lived here for a few years. Nothing like this has happened, quite intense," said Jamie Wheeler Roberts, a resident. "Just a couple pops, nothing insame, pop, pop. I really thought it was fireworks," said Matthew Hamilton-Roux, a neighbor.The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.Josh Einiger has details on the construction pause.
