The Seattle Seahawks have made several roster moves ahead of their upcoming game, placing Uchenna Nwosu on injured reserve with a thigh injury and promoting Artie Burns to the active roster.
With just hours before kickoff, the Seattle Seahawks made several transactions to reshape the 53-man roster, something they’ve not needed to do for much of the season up to this point. None of these moves is a big surprise, although one of the removals is worth paying extra attention to for what it could mean next week. Outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is going to injured reserve with his thigh injury.
Burns’ promotion to the active roster leaves the Seahawks with one vacant spot on the practice squad. It’s worth noting that George Fant is eligible to come off of IR as early as next week against the Atlanta Falcons. For the second year in a row, cornerback Artie Burns is on the active roster after starting out on the practice squad. Riq Woolen’s absence, however short-term it figures to be, still leaves the Seahawks thin at corner, and Burns provides a veteran presence.
