The popular orange drink brand is stepping into the hard seltzer market.
Sunny Delight / Sunny Delight Beverages Co.The popular orange drink brand announced its splash into the growing hard seltzer market this week, debuting SunnyD Vodka Seltzer.The new concoction is scheduled to debut as a four-pack at some Walmart stores on Saturday for a suggested retail price of $9.99, according to the company. Single cans are also available for purchase at a suggested price of $1.99.
“Many have told us that they enjoy SunnyD as a mixer and asked for this product,” said Ilene Bergenfeld, chief marketing officer for Harvest Hill Beverage Company, which makes the SunnyD brand."We have developed something we know adult SunnyD fans and hard seltzer enthusiasts alike will be proud to enjoy."
Each 12 oz. can is 4.5 percent alcohol by volume with zero grams of sugar and 95 calories, according to the company., by comparison, is 5 percent alcohol by volume and contains 2 grams of sugar and 100 calories, according to the brand’s website.
