“We were all by the artist trailers in the hangout area, and he and Katie were walking up while I was standing at the taco truck in line getting food. Despite seeing “little bits and pieces” of unfavorable reports about the rocker, Shay insisted that “he could not have been nicer.” Shay said she even “caught the end” of Martin’s set at the festival after leaving Fall Out Boy “a little early.”“They were playing at the same time but I wanted to check out Sleeping with Sirens,” she explained. “I wanted to see what the band was all about and they were really good.”
Although Maloney didn’t reveal his identity at the time, she described Martin as the “most wonderful person ever met.”Martin, for his part, is currently going through a “heavy divorce” of his own.
