Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans and Keenen Ivory Wayans, who created the parody franchise that launched with the first movie in 2000, are penning the script for the new film.

Paramount is handling global distribution for the forthcoming title through their first-look deal with producer Miramax, which distributed the first three features.
The three Wayans brothers are writing and producing the new one with Rick Alvarez. A director and cast have not yet been announced for the sixth installment in the franchise, nor has the premise.at the time, “After nearly 20 years, the Wayans brothers are finally going to give the fans what they’ve been asking for… a return to the opened in July 2000 with $42 million at the domestic box office. The title set records for the biggest opening weekend for an R-rated horror film and a Black director.
